Local businesses celebrate Keystone Road reconstruction

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Businesses along Keystone Road are excited about the end of the three-year, $32 million reconstruction project.  In fact, dozens of them are offering special promotions to customers as a way to celebrate.

The one-time two lane road between U.S. 19 and East Lake Road was widened to four lanes. During the reconstruction phase, many drivers avoided the area, along with the businesses in the corridor.

As a way to encourage customers to return to businesses along Keystone Road and Tarpon Avenue, a lot of stores are offering discounts and promotions on weekends through Labor Day.  Here is a look at some of the offerings:

  • Advance Auto Parts, 718 E. Tarpon Avenue: $5 off $25 purchase
  • Currents Restaurant, 200 E. Tarpon Avenue: Free appetizer with two entree purchases or free glass of wine with entree purchase
  • Finders Keepers Gift Shoppe, 167 E. Tarpon Avenue: Buy one Shea Butter product, get one at 1/2 price
  • Red Rose Antiques, 124 E. Tarpon Avenue: 10% off any item over $25
  • Zante Cafe, 13 N. Safford Avenue; Buy one menu item, get second of equal or less value for 1/2 off.

The discounts/specials will be honored Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day (Labor Day included!)
