Gulfport, FL -- Community group, Gulfport Neighbors,is calling out to volunteers to help work on a very large home project to help a neighbor in distress.

Community Service Officer Robert McLaughlin of the Gulfport Police Department reached out to the community group for help.

On Saturday, Jan. 28, at 8 a.m., the group will be removing old fencing, installing donated fencing, trimming trees, raking, hauling debris, removing an unsafe deck, replacing a kitchen ceiling and more.

The group said Tim Coppola, Certified Arborist and owner of Coppola Tree Service of Gulfport is donating his time and bucket truck to help him trim the area. Gulfport's Safety Tire has also made a donation of goods and services.  Beachway Park in Gulfport is donating fencing.

If you come out to volunteer, water will be provided, however, you will need to bring work gloves, rakes, tree pruners, wheelbarrows, shovels, hammers and other tools.
