East Lake firemen take to the streets for charity

EAST LAKE - Firefighters in East Lake will be hitting the streets on December 3 and 10 in hopes of collecting money for charity at local intersections. All funds collected in the "MDA BootDrive," as it is commonly called, will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy research.

East Lake's finest will be out in two shifts: 8:30am - 10:30am, and again from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. They are hoping to reach their goal of collecting more than $7,400, which was last year's total.

For those not able to help fill the boots roadside, donations will also be accepted at East Lake Fire Station #57, located at 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd., Palm Harbor, FL, 34685.
