Palm Harbor, Florida -- Fire Chief James Angle has announced after 17 years of service at the Palm Harbor Fire Rescue he will embark on a new career.

Chief Angle will take on the new role as the Programs Director of St. Petersburg College Fire Training Center starting November 2013.

During his career with PHFR, Chief Angle pursued a strong interest in firefighter education and training participating as an adjunct instructor since 1988 and authoring or co-authoring two firefighting related textbooks.

Since joining the Palm Harbor Fire Rescue in 1996, Chief Angle has not only become an icon in the fire service, but also to the close knit Palm Harbor community.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue and the community congratulates and applauds him on his endeavor and remain grateful to him for his years of distinguished service and professionalism.
