Football fan tries to rob Dunedin bank

Dunedin, Florida -- Pinellas Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help identifying a man who tried to rob a Dunedin TD Bank Tuesday morning.

Detectives say the man walked into the bank, at 28100 US 19 North around 10:45 a.m., and handed a teller a note requesting money. After a few minutes, the man walked out of the bank without any money.

No one was injured and no weapon was seen at the time.

He is described as a white male, about 5'11", 160 pounds, 27-35 years old with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap with a "Super Bowl XXXIII" emblem printed on the front, a dark coat and a red Tampa Bay Buccaneers shirt.
