Armed robbery in Dunedin possibly linked to Clearwater homicide | Crime
Dunedin, Florida -- Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating an armed robbery which may be linked to a Clearwater homicide that occurred later the same day.
According to detectives on Sunday, September 25 at approximately 10:20 p.m. a victim was robbed at gun point while walking on Beltrees Street near Louden Avenue in Dunedin. The victim described the suspects as being two black males, both wearing handkerchiefs over their faces with dark clothing.
One of the suspects pointed a dark colored handgun at the victim and took the victim's cell phone. The suspects then fled the area in a tan/beige colored possibly four door car with a loud exhaust, which the victim reported looked like an unmarked police car.
The Clearwater Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred shortly after this event and has information the same or similar to the description of these two suspects and the vehicle involved in their case.
