Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Flanagan's way

Dunedin, Florida -- The greatest Irish pub in north Pinellas (okay, maybe I'm a little bias because I used to work there) is having its annual St. Patrick's Day Festival this Saturday.

Flanagan's Irish Pub is one of the only places that throws the festival on the actual day of the week St. Patrick's Day falls on, and this year, is the one day that they have been waiting for...Saturday!

The festival starts at 11 a.m. in front of the pub on Main Street in downtown Dunedin. People can enjoy traditional Irish fair such as Fish and Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Stew, Irish Banger sandwich, Corned beef sandwiches in addition to the standard hamburgers and hot dogs.

Guinness, Harp and Smithwicks as well as other favorite beers will be poured (and some green beer!!).  Wine, sodas and water are also available.

Entertainment will start at noon and continue throughout the day until 11 p.m.  MC Noel Cooney will be singing along with Irish entertainment by The Fightin’ Malones and The Irish Buskers.  The Dunedin Pipe Band as well as Irish Dancer will also perform throughout the day and night.  We also have a Barbershop Quartet called Compound Interest!

There will be a face painter for kids of all ages and maybe some special surprised for children!!

Admission is free.

If you're on-the-fence about whether or not to go, check out the video above and see for yourself just how fun the community of Dunedin is, and don't forget you can avoid the traffic and parking hassle by simply riding your bike on the Pinellas Trail to get there!
