Martina McBride coming to St. Pete

St. Petersburg, FL -- The City of St. Petersburg announced this week that Nashville's multi-platinum and award-winning country music superstar Martina McBride will perform live at the 2nd annual Dollars for Doorways fundraising event on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. at downtown St. Petersburg's scenic Demens Landing.

The event is a fundraiser for the city's Mayor's Mentors & More Scholarship program, which has funded more than 1,100 four-year scholarships for at-risk students over the past 10 years.

"The Dollar for Doorways event is a great opportunity to come out and enjoy the great talent of Martina McBride in a beautiful waterfront setting, while at the same time supporting the education of our young students through Doorways scholarships," said St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster.
