'Love That Dress' fashion show to benefit PACE center

The Pinellas PACE Center, based in Pinellas Park, would like to invite the public to attend "Love That Dress" on Friday, Sept. 8.

This event will take place from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel in St Petersburg.

Hundreds of dresses will be available for purchase, with the majority priced as low as $10.

There will also be a cash bar and exhibitors offering a variety of ladies accessories and products.

The museum is hosting its first social media event Thursday, Aug. 11 from 5 - 8 p.m.

All tweetup activities on the first floor will be free, and admission to third floor galleries is $10 after 5 p.m.

Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill – new this year to the Miles For Hope lineup  – is preparing  to help strike out Brain Tumors during the Summer Bash for Charity on Saturday.

The St. Petersburg sports bar, located at 1320 Central Ave. near Tropicana Field, will help the Clearwater-based national nonprofit  raise funds for cutting-edge Brain Tumor research at the event, which features a raffle and silent auction, games of skill, and the televised Rays vs. New York Yankees game. Music will be provided by DJ Louis Martinez.

The Summer Bash for Charity, which starts at 4 p.m., also kicks-off the fundraising season for Miles For Hope’s  fourth annual Moving Towards a Cure® cycle/run/walk event on Sept. 24 in Clearwater.

Model railroad visits Seminole

Seminole - "The Artistry of Model Railroads: A three dimensional exhibit thematic sculptures" visits the Seminole Library. 

At least 5 different themes will be represented. 

From a "Fun and Disasters" depicting a display expressing the hardships and triumphs of modern industrial life to "Thomas the Tank Engine".  These models can be up to 40-feet.
