Pinellas County, Florida -- Hurricane preparedness is a concern of all residents of Pinellas County. On Thursday, June 7, There’s No Place Like Home radio show will focus on hurricane planning.

The featured guest is Tom Iovino, public information specialist with Pinellas County, who will provide helpful hurricane preparedness tips, resources and information needed to prepare you and your family for the upcoming hurricane season.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew.

“Although less hurricane activity is projected for this season, the same was true the year Andrew hit South Florida,” said Iovino. “Pinellas County residents should remain vigilant. Now is the time to develop your hurricane plan.”
