Beach advisory lifted for Courtney Campbell Causeway | Environment
Clearwater, Florida -- The Pinellas County Health Department had lifted its advisory for the waters at Courtney Campbell Causeway beach.
The advisory was put in place on Dec. 28 after health officials detected enteric bactera in the water. The presence of the bacteria is an indication of fecal pollution and may cause human disease, infections or rashes.
Water testing conducted on Jan. 7 showed the water quality was in the Good range as recommended by the EPA and swimmers are cleared to enjoy the beach this weekend.
