Largo seeks summer Green Team Volunteers

Largo, Florida -- If you are ages 16 and older and have a passion for recycling, be sure to take this opportunity to become a recycling ambassador in your neighborhood.

The City of Largo is seeking Green Team Volunteers to help with recycling recruitment and community education. Green Team members will help Largo's businesses and residents to reduce waste through the City's free recycling program.

Opportunities for educational presentations are also available. Volunteers will be trained on Largo's Recycling Program and learn about the resources that Largo provides to make recycling convenient and effective. Green Team volunteers are requested to devote three or more hours a month and attend an orientation prior to volunteering. Hours are flexible and can vary based on volunteer's role. Students may be able to earn volunteer hours through Green Team participation. Scout leaders and other group organizers can also inquire about one-time projects.

For more information on the City of Largo's Green Team, please contact Marissa Segundo, Recycling Coordinator at (727) 586-7424 or visit LargoRecycles.com.
