Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s free “making Waves” educational speaker series

Clearwater, Florida -- Join the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Thursday, September 19th for Making Waves: An Evening with Experts.

This month’s presenter is Dr. Heather Judkins, a Biology professor at the University of South Florida St, Petersburg, who will be talking all about deep sea cephalopods such as squids, octopuses and cuttlefish.

Dr. Heather Judkins, recipient of the 2012, Florida Marine Science Educators Association’s, John Beakley Award (An award given to educators who have demonstrated dedication to promoting and developing marine science in Florida.), will be speaking about her work on various cephalopod projects which include species diversity, distribution and abundance.

Making Waves will include the following:

  • 6 p.m. - Welcome and refreshments 
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m - Dr. Heather Judkins
  • 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Question and answer session 

The event will be held at the Bright House Theater at CMA, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater, Florida.
