Saturday: The Bourne Legacy, PG-13

The movies are free and can be viewed at sunset from the lawn at Pier 60 Park, weather permitting.

Gulfport, Florida -- For years, former Gulfport mayor, Mike Yakes, tried to light the Christmas tree in Clymer Park, and every year he found himself unable to do so without help from some of the youngest Gulfportians. Monday night Gulfport’s new mayor, Sam Henderson, tried to light the tree only to discover that he, too, lacked the power to launch Gulfport into the Christmas season without help from Gulfport’s kids.

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- No matter what the forecast says, snow WILL be falling on Dec. 6 in Tarpon Springs!

The City of Tarpon Springs and the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to bring "Snow Place" back to the city this year. The biggest and best Christmas celebrateion will be held along historic downtown Tarpon Avenue from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Dec. 6.

The festival area will stretch from Spring Bayou to Ring Street and Safford Avenue from Tarpon Avenue to Orange Street.

Pinellas Park's 11th Annual Holiday in the Park event

Pinellas Park, Florida-- The holiday season is in full swing in Pinellas Park.

The community is invited to join the fun at the 11th Annual Holiday in the Park celebration.

This free event will take place on Friday and Saturday, December 6th and 7th at England Brothers Park. Enjoy the community-wide family event which will feature games for children, train rides, hayrides, entertainment and much more.

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Santa Claus is planning some special tours around the city of Tarpon Springs with some escorts leading the way--firefighters!

St. Nick will ride aboard a Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue fire engine for seven evenings--departing each night from the main station at 444 S. Huey Avenue.

The evenings of the tours are Dec. 4, 5, 9, 10, 12, 17 and 18--touring a different section of the city each night. Click here for maps of Santa's routes.

Thanksgiving camps offered at Highland Recreation Complex

Largo, Florida - Looking for something fun for your child to do over Thanksgiving break?

Largo Recreation will be offering holiday camps from November 25-27 at the new Highland Recreation Complex. Students in grades K-5 will be able to sign up for morning camps that run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., afternoon camps that run from 1 to 5 p.m., or both!
