Photos with Santa at Human Society of Pinellas

Pinellas County, Florida -- Photos with Santa comes home to the Humane Society of Pinellas select weekends in November.

Back by popular demand, this fun annual event returns to HSP at 3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater. Bring your pets and family and get a keepsake that will last a lifetime.

Dates are Saturdays & Sundays: November 9-10 and 16-17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Free bicycle helmets given away in Pinellas County on Saturday

Pinellas County, Florida -- Amscot Financial and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are partnering together for the annual bicycle helmet giveaway.

Pinellas deputies will be out at Amscot locations this weekend providing children with free bicycle helmets and deputies will have the helmet properly fitted before leaving.

On Saturday, October 19 between 9 a.m. and noon, deputies will be giving out free helmets at these locations:

Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, October 19

Pinellas Park, Florida-- Enjoy an enchanted evening with your princess that she will never forget.

Girls Incorporated will hot their annual Father Daughter Ball on Saturday, October 19th.

This event will take place beginning at 6 PM at the Kapok Pavilion Grand Ballroom, located at 923 McMullen Booth Road.

Couples can dance the night away for only $99, and additional girls may join for only $49.

Young ladies that are between the ages 5 through 17 are invited to attend this dance.

Gulfport, Florida -- Tuesday night at Tangelo's, 10-year-old Isabella Kontrick read from her published book, "The Barracuda's Curse", which she wrote when she was nine.

Sacred Heart Fall Festival begins October 16

Pinellas Park, Florida-- Enjoy the family fun at this year's Sacred Heart Fall Festival.

This event will take place at Sacred Heart Church Wednesday, October 16th thru Sunday, October 20th.

Fun for all ages, this event will feature great food, music, games and prizes.

Ride tickets will cost $12 per sheet if purchased before the festival, or $18 if bought on site.

Special "ride all night" wristbands will be available on Wednesday and Thursday for just $20.

CLEARWATER, Florida - Several branches of the Clearwater Public Library System are planning safe Halloween events for youngsters and families during the month of October. The lineup includes:

Teen Art Club meetings at the Pinellas Park Library

Pinellas Park, Florida-- Bring out your artistic side at the Pinellas Park Library.

Young artists are urged to join the Teen Art Club which meets at the library the 2nd Monday of each month. Join the next meeting, which will take place on October 14th beginning at 6 PM.

Gather with like minded individuals while working in an informal and supportive environment. Acrylic painting and pencil drawing are the media to start with. All needed materials will be supplied.
