Health and Human Services offices close temporarily

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County’s department of Health and Human Services will close its offices at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22 for a department wide staff meeting. This includes the department’s four locations:

  • Clearwater, 2189 Cleveland St., Suite 230
  • Largo, 8751 Ulmerton Road
  • St. Petersburg, 647 1st Ave. N.
  • Tarpon Springs, 3015 Disston Ave

 

All Health and Human Services office will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 25 and resume normal business hours.

Precautionary water boil notice

 

Pinellas County, Florida -- A main water leak at McMullen Booth Road just north of the railroad tracks near northeast Coachman Road has been repaired.

However, Pinellas County has issued a precautionary boil water notice for select residents in the area.

Those impacted are in the area south of Sunset Point Road, east of U.S. 19, north of State Road 590 and west of McMullen Booth Road. Only customers of Pinellas County Utilities are affected. This does not include homes and businesses that receive their water from the city of Clearwater.

On March 30 the Pinellas County Health Department's Mid-County Center Dental Clinic for Low-Income Adults opens. It will be located at 8751 Ulmerton Road, Largo, Florida.

Pinellas County, Florida -- Give Kids a Smile Pinellas will be offering free dental service for qualifying children on Feb. 22.

Volunteer dentists and other team members at participating dental offices throughout Pinellas will be providing the dental services.

Parents need to contact the School Social Worker at your child's school to complete the needed application. Availability is limited so parents should act as soon as possible.
