Last day for free cat adoptions this Friday

Hernando County, Florida-- Hernando County Animal Services announces Friday as the final day to take advantage of free cat adoptions.

The current special offer allows residents to adopt a cat or kitten for free from Hernando County Animal Services in celebration of Adopt-A-Cat Month.

They say the only fee to take home an adorable pet is the $20 deposit, which will be processed for a refund after showing proof of sterilization and rabies vaccination.

The cats receive a feline 4-in-1 vaccination and deworming at Animal Services.

Additionally, the PetLuv Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic very generously provides free spay or neuter and 1-yr rabies vaccinations for all animals adopted to private homes from Animal Services.

If you are a Hernando County resident, you will also receive a free one-year Hernando County Animal License for your cat upon proof of rabies vaccination.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this limited-time-only special offer. Please visit Animal Services on the web at www.hernandocounty.us/code/animal/adopt.asp or on Petfinder at http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelterid=FL1091 or visit the shelter at 19450 Oliver St. in Brooksville to see animals available for adoption.
