Using Six Sigma methodology, leads projects and/or project teams to deliver project cost, quality, and time objectives established by their Champion and Manager.

Responsible for total coordination and processing of all patient referrals for specialty services. Follows protocols for proper authorization and processing of all referrals. Assists team in educating patient/family, follows JSA standing orders/protocols, assists patients with external resources when needed. Communicates with the patient on a timely basis for all scheduling requirements. Coordinates pre-admission testing requirements with clinic personnel and patient. Completes all administrative functions associated with referral activities in a timely manner. Enters all referral, hospital, outpatient, DME and other patient specialty health service authorizations into the computer system according to JSA policy and procedure. Receives consultant reports, maintains documentation, and routes to the appropriate physician promptly. Responsible for monitoring all referral reports not received and timely follow-up in accordance with JSA policy and procedure. Other duties as assigned.
Akerman Senterfitt, a premier national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for its Tampa office. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and possess a minimum of 5 years litigation experience, preferably in a regional or national law firm setting. The incumbent will assist and support all aspects of a heavy volume litigation practice.
The successful candidate must be able to effectively handle the multiple and varied responsibilities of case management and trial preparation, including drafting and analyzing legal documents, performing legal research, and discovery of documents in a fast-paced team environment. The ability to develop rapport with clients, maintain strong working relationships, exhibit meticulous attention to detail and produce an accurate and high-quality work product are essential requirements for this position.
Candidates must instill trust and have the ability to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information. Prior trial and multi-state experience is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills, a working knowledge of computer applications and litigation support systems including Summation are preferred.
