Pinellas deputies patrol elementary schools in wake of Conn. shooting | News
Pinellas County, Florida -- In the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Pinellas County deputies are conducting a patrol detail at each of the county's 27 elementary schools.
Every morning for the entire week, a deputy will be assigned to each school in the sheriff's office jurisdiction during drop-off times. In addition, extra patrols will be available throughout the day in the area surrounding the schools to help give some level of peace of mind to parents and students.
