Man arrested for sending sexually explicit texts to teen girl | News
ST. PETERSBURG, Florida -- A St. Petersburg man has been arrested after deputies say he sent sexually explicit texts and a photo to a 15-year-old girl.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Jeffrey Lachance told the teen he was her former church group leader. He allegedly sent the girl a photo of his private parts, along with messages soliciting her for sex in return for money.
The girl, who didn't know Lachance, showed the messages to her grandmother, who contacted the sheriff's office. Lachance confessed to authorities, and told them he found the victim through Facebook.
Investigators say there may be other victims and are asking anyone with additional information that may assist in this case to contact Detective Mark Kolenda of the Crimes Against Children Unit at 727-582-6200.
