Seminole woman wins Treasure Islettes cruise raffle

Treasure Island, Florida -- On Saturday, March 3, Tammy Coleman won the Treasure Islettes "Cruise of a Lifetime" worth up to $2,000!

The fundraising raffle, offered in conjunction with Emma McCullough of Park Place Travel, featured a Holland America cruise.

Raffle proceeds supplement the nearly $400,000 that the Treasure Islettes has bestowed to Treasure Island students since the club’s inception in 1955. The women's club says scholarships are primarily funded by the weekly bingo games, open to the public, that the club runs Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. at the TI Community Center.

The Treasure Islettes has six committees specifically dedicated to scholarship, neighborhood beautification, and service to the community. Over the years the Treasure Islettes has donated cash and equipment valued at over $9,000.

The club meets September through May at the TI Community Center typically on the 4th Monday of the month at 7 p.m.

Bingo runs every Thursday at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. at the TI Community Center. Scholarship and membership information can be obtained by writing to Treasure Islettes, 138 107th Ave #116, Treasure Island, FL 33706.
