Clearwater Fire & Rescue graduation and promotional ceremonies

Clearwater, Florida  -- Clearwater Fire & Rescue recruits will graduate from an intensive eight-week training program on Friday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at the Fire Training Center, 1716 N. Belcher Road. The graduates qualify to be sworn in as City of Clearwater firefighters. The swearing in will be held at a City Council meeting in the near future.

Immediately after the graduation ceremony, another ceremony will take place recognizing the following individuals for their recent promotions within the department:

  • Peter Gushee, promoted to Lieutenant
  • Jarett Hood, promoted to Driver Operator
  • Wendy Arnold, promoted to Driver Operator
  • Eric Miller, promoted to Driver Operator

Clearwater Fire & Rescue has eight fire stations staffed by 201 employees and responds to more than 25,000 calls each year.
