Community puts on weekend events to raise funds for Ireland Nugent
News

PALM HARBOR, Florida -- Ireland Nugent, the two-year-old who lost her feet in a lawnmower accident in April, is walking on her own with the help of prosthetics.

This weekend, two events are helping to celebrate that achievement and raise money for her ongoing rehabilitation.

On Saturday from 1 to 3 pm, "Ireland Strikes Back" will take over Dunedin Lanes. $25 will get you unlimited bowling, shoe rentals, and pizza and soda. There will be raffles too.

Also on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, dozens of local vendors and businesses are getting together at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club on Trophy Blvd. in New Port Richey for a shopping event featuring everything from chocolate to jewelry. Money raised from raffles and vendors fees will be donated to the toddler and her family.
