News

Palm Harbor, Florida -- An arson unit is investigating how a park's observation tower caught fire and collapsed on Wednesday morning.

Fire crews initially responded to a call of a brush fire at Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor around 7:30 a.m. They arrived to find the observation tower fully engulfed in flames.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue says the tower is completely destroyed and the park will remain closed all day so the area can be inspected.

There are no reports of injuries.
