Seminole - Thursday's storms packed a punch, knocking down trees and power lines. Subsequently, Progress Energy customers suffered tens of thousands of power outages. Those outages lingered into Friday.
Progress Energy crews are slowly making repairs. At the height of the outages, more than 20-thousand customers were left in the dark.
Pinellas county suffered the most failures at more than 15,000 households without electricity.
As of 10 a.m. Friday more than 13,000 customers didn't have power Numerous Seminole neighborhoods are among those outages.
Bardmoor started to see service return by 8:30 a.m., but neighborhoods in the perimeter north of Park Boulevard, West of Seminole Boulevard, and South of Ulmerton are slowly being restored.
Progress Energy says its crews hope to have all customers service restored no later than 11 p.m.
