St. Petersburg, Florida -- Detective are looking for a suspect who shot and killed a man at a BP Station on 5th Avenue South. 

Around 3 a.m. on October 4, Caleb Scott walked into the BP at 2735 5th Avenue South. At the entrance doorway, he got in a verbal dispute with the suspect and the suspect produced a handgun and shot Scott multiple times in the chest. 

Scott was transported to Bayfront Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries. 

It is unclear if Scott and the suspect were acquainted with each other prior to this incident 

The suspect is described as:

  • A thin black male in his late teens to early twenties
  • In the video wearing a white tank top, black hat with white writing on the front and black pants
  • He appears to be accompanied by a black female wearing a pinkish colored dress.

After the shooting, the suspect and the accompanying female fled the area on foot. At no point are they seen arriving in or leaving in a car, so they may reside or have acquaintances in the near-by neighborhood. 

Detectives are also interested in identifying various individuals seen in and outside the store at the time of the shooting who did not remain on scene to be questioned by responding officers.
