Simple ways to fight cybercrime

St. Petersburg, Florida -- The Tampa Bay area is a hotbed for identity theft. In fact, Tampa ranked top in the nation for fraudulent tax returns, and one of the ways you can easily expose yourself to ID theft is online.

Cyber thieves are combing through the internet looking for unprotected computers and devices and accounts that can easily be hacked.

Coming off of free shipping day, and with people still searching for last minute items online, there are some simple things you can do to safeguard your privacy.

AVG Technologies Senior Security Analyst Tony Anscombe recommends instead of making a one word password try to make a phrase so it will be harder to hack, and never save your credit card information to any shopping account.
