Alex's Lemonade Stand held in Clearwater for pediatric cancer research | News
Clearwater, Florida -- A nationwide effort to raise money for pediatric cancer research is happening right here in the Bay area.
Children and families hosted an Alex's Lemonade Stand at a Toys-R-Us in Clearwater.
It all started eight years ago when a Pennsylvania girl named Alex had cancer. She opened a lemonade stand to help her friends she knew at the hospital.
She passed away in 2004, but her lemonade stand concept continues.
