Clearwater, Florida -- Pickles Plus Too is trying to stay at the Harborview Center a few more months.

The restaurant has asked the city for a three month extension to the lease that is due to expire next month, while it negotiates a new venue downtown.

The city agreed to buy out Pickles' long-term lease for $668,000 to expedite the closing of the Harborview Center. But the center itself had its life extended when exhibit space was leased to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

The long-term future of the Harborview Center is now uncertain.

The city council is expected to discuss the restaurant's request at its workshop meeting Monday.
