County offices to close for Martin Luther King Jr. Day | News
Pinellas County government offices will close on Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session, except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.
The Solid Waste Administration Building and HEC3 will be closed. The scalehouse/landfill will remain open.
Animal Services will be closed, with the outside animal drop-off area remaining open.
County parks and preserves will remain open. Annual beach and boat ramp parking permits will not be available for sale.
Heritage Village, the Environmental Education Center at Brooker Creek Preserve and the Cultural and Natural History Center at Weedon Island Preserve are normally closed Mondays.
The Florida Botanical Gardens will remain open; the administrative offices will be closed.
Regular hours of operation at all county facilities will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
