Guy Harvey aquarium featured on Animal Planet show


St. Pete Beach, Florida -- Friday night the Aquarium Artists from the TV show Tanked will show off their newest creation on St. Pete Beach. It's the big feature of RumFish Grill and Bar at the Tradewinds Beach Resort's Guy Harvey Outpost on Gulf Boulevard.

The massive 33,500-gallon aquarium is one of the largest the crew from Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, the stars of the show Tanked, have ever built. They only had a few months to finish it because the Tradewinds wanted to have it ready for the opening of the restaurant later this month.

Cops: Man kills mother, is shot by deputies


Clearwater, Florida -- Pinellas deputies say they have shot and killed a man who had just stabbed his mother to death.

The man, who has not been identified at this time, reportedly called police around 12:15 p.m., saying he had stabbed his mother and wanted to turn himself in.

Construction worker likely killed by lightning


Seminole, Florida -- "He wasn't just a worker. He was considered a close friend."

Mercy Iturriaga's sadness matches the gray, wet night after tragedy struck her company's construction site in Seminole.

"It was raining. He went to close his windows, and 15 minutes later he didn't come back."

Suspect arrested in Army veteran's death


St. Petersburg, Florida -- St. Petersburg police say they've arrested the man they think is responsible for killing a 20-year Army veteran.

Floyd Lassiter, 53, was shot and killed on Thursday, May 10 when he confronted two people who were trying to steal his car.

9 injured in Palm Harbor car accident


Palm Harbor, Florida -- Nine people were injured in a multiple car crash on US-19 and Tampa Road in Palm Harbor.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue says a vehicle traveling northbound lost control and crossed into the southbound lanes of US-19, hitting two other vehicles.

One person was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another was taken to Mease Countryside for non life-threatening injuries. Six others refused further treatment after the initial contact with paramedics.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- It was a horrifying sight for neighbors in South Glens Falls, New York when a small child's bounce house turned into a kite with three children inside of it.

FHP report released in deadly motorcycle crash


St. Petersburg, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol has released its report into a deadly crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

On Feb. 20th 2013, Keith Williamson was speeding in excess of 120 miles per hour on the eastbound side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway when he slammed into a FHP cruiser and was killed.
