St. Petersburg woman reacts to Russian troops in Ukraine

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Today, Russian stunned the world by choosing to swiftly move into the autonomous province of Crimea. Many countries, including the U.S., are calling on Moscow to withdraw its forces from the region.

This international issue is hitting home in the Tampa Bay area. 10 News reporter Sarah Hagen spoke with a local woman who has ties to both Russia and Ukraine.

91-year-old talks about carjacking

St. Petersburg, Florida --  Police say a third suspect could still be on the loose after a carjacking Thursday.

The department's forensic unit tended to the 91-year-old victim, Beverley Landrey, who says the incident and her injuries felt worse today.

We now know what Beverly Landrey was doing in that neighborhood. She was driving to a local market to get some ice cream for her husband.  That's when things took a tragic turn.

Two men dead after airborne car crashes into pond

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The area around U.S. 19 and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. has reopened to traffic following an accident that killed two people.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. after an officer on patrol heard a loud "boom" coming from the area of MLK and U.S. 19.

"He told me it sounded like a missile hit U.S. 19," said Tarpon Springs Police Captain Jeffrey Young.

US Marshals post billboard and reward for Pinellas Trail suspect

Pinellas, Florida -- The U.S. Marshals Service is assisting the St. Petersburg Police
Department in the search for Pinellas Trail robbery suspect Germaine Small.

A billboard offing up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to
Small's arrest is located at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and 49th
Street North.

Sea otter pup found in 10 News parking lot

St. Petersburg, Florida-- It was quite the surprise Friday at the 10 News station when we came across a sea otter pup, all by his lonesome in the parking lot!

Worried that the young otter was without his family, 10 News called the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for advice.

FL-13 candidates hold final debate

Tampa, Florida-- As the election for the late C.W. Bill Young's Congressional seat fast approaches, the three competing candidates held their final debate in Tampa Friday afternoon.

Shorter than others, the debate lasted around 30 minutes, during which Republican David Jolly, Democrat Alex Sink and Libertarin Lucas Overby each addressed a variety of topics- including taxes, Obamacare, and social security, and even campaign contributions.
