Pinellas County, Florida -- In celebration of the new year, Pinellas County Animal Services is offering adoption specials on cats and dogs through the end of January.

As part of the New Year’s Slim Down specials, the adoption fee for large dogs and cats is $25 and $75 for puppies and small breeds during normal shelter adoption hours. The fee includes a medical checkup, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, internal and external parasite control and microchipping. The required Pinellas County license is also provided.

KNine2Five, the doggy daycare and boarding resort in Tarpon Springs, is planning a New Year pet adoption event on Saturday, Jan. 4.

Animal rescue groups will bring needy pets looking for homes to KNine2Five from 10:00am-3:00pm.  KNine2Five is located at 38799 US Hwy. 19 North.

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Animal Services hopes to make the holidays a little brighter for dogs and cats in need of a good home this season by hosting a special Home for the Holidays campaign.

“The idea is to find a home for all of our shelter animals during the holidays, either through adoption or fostering,” said to Maureen Freaney, director of Pinellas County Animal Services. “It’s such a special time of year that we would like to know that the dogs that we care for are enjoying the holidays, too.”
