I (HEART) My Library Photo Contest: now until Friday, July 26. All library branches. Send in digital photos of you and/or your friends enjoying a Clearwater library for a chance to win one of ten, $50 gift cards. Entry forms and information are available at myclearwater.com/cpl. All ages are welcome.

New Countryside fire engine being dedicated Saturday

Clearwater, Florida -- Clearwater residents are invited to attend the dedication of a new fire engine at Station 50 in Countryside on Saturday morning.

Mayor George Cretekos and Fire Chief Robert Weiss will speak at the event, which begins at 9 a.m. Vice Mayor Paul Gibson and Council Member Bill Jonson also are planning to attend.

Station 50 is located just east of Countryside Mall at 2681 Countryside Blvd.

The station serves the many neighborhoods and businesses located in the northern part of the city.

Pinellas Park, Florida-- Teens are invited to Dive into Archaeology at the Pinellas Park Library this summer.

Join the library for this free event on Wednesday, July 17th beginning at 6:30 PM.

Learn the history of Florida shipwrecks through this presentation.

Teens will use hands-on activities to learn about underwater archaeology.

Registration is required for this event and begins July 3rd.

Grand Re-Opening of Discovery Playground

Grand Re-Opening of Discovery Playground

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Discovery Playground at the Tarpon Springs Complex will re-open after being closed for renovation and repairs. 

The playground has been closed since June 17 for extensive redesign and renovation to incorporate environmentally friendly and maintenance free materials. 

The public is invited to attend a brief ribbon cutting at noon on Monday.

One-On-One Technology Clinics

Pinellas Park, Florida-- The Pinellas Park Library is offering One-On-One Technology Clinics weekly each Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.

This is a free chance to learn and ask questions about your device.

Please bring in with you specific questions regarding your e-reader, tablet and laptop to receive the best answer possible.

Help at these clinics will be offered on a first come first served basis and is subject to change at any time.

The Pinellas Park Library is located at 7770 52nd Street.
