Pinellas Genealogy Society offering free day of one-on-one genealogy research

Largo, Florida - Pinellas Genealogy Society (PGS) and Largo Public Library are offering - "Family History Assistance Day," on Saturday, November 9, from 12 to 4pm. Bring information about your family and receive free, one-on-one assistance from a PGS consultant.

The event will be held in the Jenkins Room, on the first floor of the Largo Public Library. Beginners are especially encouraged to attend and experience the process of tracing their genealogical history. No appointment is necessary - first come, first served.

Kids show off big talent at Pee Wee Sports Fest

Largo, Florida ­- On your mark, get set, go! Don't miss out on our annual Pee Wee Sports Fest event on Saturday, November 2 at the new Highland Recreation Complex. Your little athlete will compete in events including a football throw, basketball hot shot, a soccer shoot out, track and obstacle challenges.

All children ages 4-11 are welcome to compete. Athletes ages 8-11 will start at 9am and athletes ages 4-7 will start at 10:30am. Cost is $10 per participant, which includes a medal and a t-shirt.
