St. Petersburg, FL -- You can tell the City Council how to use the city's budget for the upcoming year at City Hall this Thursday.

Three grassroots proposals are to invest in reducing youth unemployment, investing in the new 2020 Midtown Redevelopment Plan and to invest in the sustainable community projects program.

Weigh in at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Wall Springs Park closed due to fire

Palm Harbor, Florida -- Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor is closed today, Sept. 11, due to a fire at the observation tower.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue responded to the early morning fire, which is now under investigation.  The park will reopen once the area is secured and deemed safe.

This free series will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

The next discussion will take place on Wednesday, September 11th and will focus on The Longings of Wayward Girls by Karen Brown.

Copies of each month's selected book will be available for purchase at the Check Out desk.

Clearwater, Florida -- The Clearwater Neighborhood Coalition will get an update on city programs Friday from two council members.

Bill Jonson and Doreen Hock-DiPolito will address the group during its monthly meeting at the Salvation Army, 1521 Druid Road. Because of Sunshine Laws, they will not appear at the same time.
