This free event will take place on Saturday, September 14th from 8 AM till 4 PM.

There are eight drop off sites located throughout the city where residents can dispose of yard waste and household trash.

Safety Harbor, Florida -- Habitat for Humanity has completed its' 5th home in Safety Harbor and will dedicate it on Friday, July 12. 

Safety Harbor Mayor Joe Ayoub, Vice Mayor Nina Bandoni, Commissioner Cliff Merz and City manager Matt Spoor will present a flag to the homeowner. All of them volunteered their time to help build the home. 

The home was built for Kitina Loving and her three children. The dedication will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 12.

Unlicensed contractors arrested resulting from sting operation

Pinellas County, Florida -- The Pinellas County Office of Consumer Protection is announcing results from a sting aimed at cracking down on unlicensed contractors.

The suspects were found through Craigslist ads, business cards posted to bulletin boards at local businesses and phone number “tear-off” solicitations. Investigators sought bids for general home renovations, including kitchen remodeling, flooring, drywall repairs and electrical work.
