Palm Harbor, Florida--  This Saturday, Award winning Austrian brewmeister Herr Franz Rothschadl kicks off the first day of Oktoberfest at his German microbrewery, Lagerhaus Brewery & Grill, in Palm Harbor. 

Tampa-based Mandependence.com will video podcast on-site from 3:30 - 5 p.m. from the event taking place live in   Munich.

Attendees can look forward to giveaways, authentic German beer and food, a brand new biergarten, and even televised college football!

Lagerhaus is located at 3438 East Lake Business, Palm Harbor.

Walter Gerbase is a commercial fisherman who opened a cool, little restaurant called Waltz Fish Shak in Madeira Beach. People line up to eat his fresh fish prepared Waltz's way or they'll have to find their way to another restaurant. He was always proud to say he served only the freshest fish on the beach.

Customers learned a massive stroke almost took the life of their favorite fisherman turned chef. He spent months on life support while his wife helped nurse him back.

Clearwater Beach, Florida -- Coffee for a nickel and a full dinner for under $3? It's no mistake - it's how Florida's oldest restaurant is celebrating its 107th anniversary.

The Columbia Restaurant is rolling back its menu prices to 1905 Sunday, Sept 16 at its Sand Key, Ybor City and St. Petersburg locations, to thank guests for their support over the years.

Clearwater Beach, Florida -- Diners at the Columbia Restaurant next month will benefit local non-profit groups.

The restaurant is donating 5 percent of lunch and dinner checks of all guests to the charitable organizations chosen by the customer.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- PDQ is expanding into St. Petersburg.

The restaurant known from chicken tenders and hand-spun milkshakes had three Tampa-area locations. Now, one is under construction on 4th Street North.

The website advertises employment opportunities for management and hourly positions. The chain got its start in North Carolina in 2009 as Tenders.

Dunedin, Florida -- If you consider yourself a beer connoisseur and you love trying new hops, head over to Flanagan's Irish Pub this weekend as they debut their Archer Irish Ale in honor of their 20th Anniversary.

The first keg taps at 5 p.m. Friday night and once it's gone, it's gone!

The ale was formulated by the brewmasters at Dunedin Brewery and consists of a tropical and piney aroma that is well balanced with a sweetness that creates a deliciously hoppy (but not bitter) beer.
