Benefit concert for high school marching band

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Help fund Tarpon Springs High School Marching band by coming to a benefit concert!

The concert will take place on Sunday, September 1 at Craig Park. There is plenty of time to stop by as the event will take place from noon to 8:00 p.m. 

The event will help raise money to send the band to the Macy's 2013 Thanksgiving Day Parade. 

Admission is $12 day of the event or $8 in advance.

Deadline changes for applications to Pinellas Virtual School - August 23

Pinellas County, Florida -- Due to the high volume of interest in Pinellas Virtual School, the deadline for applying for this year is being moved from Friday, Aug. 30, to Friday, Aug. 23. The district will no longer be accepting applications for Pinellas Virtual School for this academic year beyond 5 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Pinellas Park, Florida-- Encourage the minds of young readers in your home this fall.

The Pinellas Park Library would like to announce the return of their Reading Patch Club, which will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 3 p.m.

These meetings are free and open to elementary school children in the area.

The first club meeting will take place on August 21st.
