Back-to-school immunizatons for students

Pinellas County, Florida -- Avoid the back-to-school rush by making sure your child's immunizations are updated before Pinellas County schools are back in session on Monday, Aug. 19!

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County provides immunizations at no cost for babies, children and young people through the age of 18.

Center hours at the locations below are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families do not need to make an appointment.

Pinellas County, Florida -- Registration is open for Pinellas County schools, including kindergarten. It only takes three easy steps to register for a Pinellas County School.

Step 1: Find your zoned school

  • Parents will need to find their child's zoned school by using the Zoned School Locator or calling the Student Assignment, (727) 588-6210.

Two district students win national history awards

Dunedin, Florida -- Two Pinellas County Schools students won awards at the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland that was held June 9-13.

Mia Radovanovic, 16, a rising junior at Palm Harbor University High School, received the third place award in the Senior Individual Exhibit category for her project “Margaret Sanger: A Birth in Women’s Control.” Mia advanced to the national competition after placing second in the 2012-13 Florida History Fair.
