"Making Waves" educational speaker series continues

Clearwater, Florida -- There will be another installation for Making Waves: An Evening with Experts. This month's presenter is Dr. Ann Weaver of Argosy University.

Dr. Weaver currently monitors over 150 individuals dolphins in the Boca Ciega Bay area and will discuss her experience with wild dolphin populations, dolphin identification techniques and population behaviors.

The library is offering free one-hour computer computer tutoring for adults and seniors--those who need some basic computer help. The training is done by the experts--high school volunteers!

Clearwater Library to host seminar on publishing eBooks

Clearwater, Florida -- The Clearwater Main Library 100 N. Osceola Ave. will host a Saturday, June 15 seminar at 2 p.m. on how to publish eBooks.

The workshop, led by Diana Silveira, president of Novare Library Services, a firm that specializes in IT solutions for libraries, will cover the growing trends in publishing and the movement toward self-publishing.

Topics will include: how to create covers and cover art; using Kindle Publishing Direct and other online distributors; distribution and sales options for authors; and marketing to improve sales success.
