Largo's Open-Air Market continues on Saturdays in March

Largo, Florida -- Largo's Open-Air Market will take place outdoors at the Largo Community Center on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Individuals are invited to browse a wide variety of vendors selling fresh and local produce, artisan foods, unique arts and crafts, jewelry, health and beauty items and much more.

The market will be open every Saturday morning through May 25, 2013. Largo's Open-Air Market is made possible by the City of Largo and the Pinellas County Health Department.

Palm Harbor, Florida -- Think some of great-grandma's stuff is worth something? Find out Saturday at the East Lake Library's antique appraisal fair in Palm Harbor.

For $5, someone from the Parcreek Antiques shop in Palm Harbor will take a look at one item and give you an estimate of what it's worth. If you have a lot of stuff, $10 will get you three appraisals.

Proceeds from the event will fund this year's Sunshine State Readers books for the library.

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County warns residents that contrary to recent news reports that a ban on credit card surcharges ended Jan. 27, 2013, Florida law continues to prohibit the practice.

A surcharge is the extra fee a merchant adds when purchasing goods or services by credit card.

Free tax help at Tarpon Springs Library

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The IRS tax filing deadline is still a few months away, but it's never too early to get your taxes in order.

If you need help preparing your taxes, volunteers from AARP will be available at the Tarpon Springs library on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning Feb. 4, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., until the April 15 deadline.

The help is given on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, appointments cannot be taken and AARP workers cannot accept phone calls.
