Palm Harbor, Florida -- Book a vacation with Florida Cruise Planners between now and the end of 2013 a donation between $25 and $100 will be made to the Friends of East Lake Community Library in your name.

The Friends of ELCL helps support the Palm Harbor library by raising funds to pay for things like the Sunshine Readers program, the purchase of Mindstorms kits and they have helped pay for computers and software for the LEGO robotics program.

Smoke testing of sanitary sewers begins today in Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach, Florida -- The County’s Department of Environment and Infrastructure (DEI) will initiate tests on the sanitary sewer system starting this afternoon, Nov. 27, in the Madeira Beach area to identify pipe defects and unpermitted connections.

The testing is conducted by forcing a non-toxic, artificially created smoke down manholes and through sewer pipes to find cracks and other anomalies in the system.

Gulfport, Florida -- City officials say a live cooking demonstration planned for the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market during it's "First Tuesday" evening hours on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Beginning 6 p.m., Chef James Clark, formally of the St. Petersburg Vinoy Resort, will demonstrate the preparation of his own sun-dried tomato focaccia bread which is a crowd favorite at his business, T and Me Tea Company.
