Largo, Florida -- UPDATE: Largo Police have arrested the man they say was responsible for the bank robbery of the Fifth Third Bank on Ulmerton Road Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested 30-year-old Ronald Massey late Wednesday afternoon and are charging him not only in this robbery but in a strong armed robbery of the BB&T Bank on Walsingham Road on Dec. 14.


Largo Police officers are asking for the public's help identifying the person who robbed a Fifth Third Bank on Ulmerton Road Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the man entered the bank and demanded money from the clerk while armed with a knife. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money west across 113th Street.

He is described as a black male, about 5'9" with a medium build and goatee. He was last seen wearing a thin black cap, dark colored shorts, white tennis shoes and a white, long-sleeved shirt with thin black stripes and larger blue stripes.
